Lisa Ann
Nock
November 15, 1962 – May 20, 2024
Lisa Ann Nock age 61 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Monday May 20, 2024 at the Drake Center. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 15, 1962 the daughter of Maj. Edward L. and Mary Ann (McCarty) Nock.
Survivors include three sisters, Lori Nock, Leigh Price and Lydia (Rob) Huffer, her cat Neener and 6 nieces and nephews: Caroline, Zoe and Noah Price and Carl, Ian and Meaghan (Meggie) Huffer.
Lisa was incredibly brilliant, sweet, funny, forthright, quirky & she persevered throughout her life with persistent health challenges.
After graduating with Honors from Northland High School in Columbus, she attended Capital University in Bexley and earned a Bachelor's degree in French. She worked as French translation specialist in New York City. She returned to Columbus Ohio and eventually began working in medical administration and transcription and was an employee of Mobilex services for 24 years.
She had a passion for animals, art, miniature doll houses, Victorian culture, cinema and French language and culture. She loved live music and attended many concerts throughout her life including Joni Mitchell, Heart, Cheap Trick and many more. A lover of cinema, she often went to see movies several times a week and would share her analysis of characters and plots with anyone. There is no telling how many times she viewed Top Gun "Maverick", we are still counting the movie ticket stubs. She was in mid-construction of a doll house and her nieces will finish building it. She loved touring historical architecture and recently visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House in Springfield.
Funeral guests can wear casual clothing inspired by any of the information above if they want to. Her innocent optimism for love and understanding will endure. We will be miss her immensely.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday May 29, 2024 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
We would like to thank the staff at Vitas Healthcare, Drake Hospital and Father Yanca who helped our family navigate through and make the last few weeks of Lisa's life wonderful.
