SWEET, Lorraine E., age 84, of Fairfield, OH, died Wednesday Morning, April 11, 2007, in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton, OH on July 31, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Cleo (Mott) Pater. On July 4, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana, she married Floyd "Ernie" Sweet and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1997. Mrs. Sweet had worked as a L.P.N. at the VA Hospital, Albuquerque, New Mexico, for fifteen years, retiring in 1987.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Debbie) Sweet, of Cabot, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Aaron Sweet, Destiny McIntire, Angela Kunkel, and Marlene Johnson; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette (Paul) Ortolf; a brother, Raymond (Jean) Pater; 2 brothers-in-law, John Coleman, and Howard Sweet.

Besides her husband, she also was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Sweet Jr.; two sisters, Hazel Coleman and Wanda Gadd,; a brother, James D. Pater; two nieces, Cynthia Frady, and Karen Pater; a nephew, Johnny Coleman; a sister-n-law, Wanda Mae Pater; a brother-in-law, James Gadd.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Nancy Hulshult officiating, followed by Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
