YORDY, Louis P., age 88, of Hamilton, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 in Vitas Hospice in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 4, 1918, the son of Henry E. and Nora (Lenhoff) Yordy and was a 1936 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On September 15, 1965, in Hamilton, Ohio, he married Neva L. Ratliff. Mr. Yordy had worked as a truck driver for A.R.A. Vending, for forty years, retiring in 1980. In younger years, he was an avid bowler, participating in area bowling leagues, and greatly enjoyed pocket billiards.
Survivors include his wife Neva; five step children, Chuck Ratliff, Golaid, TX, Pansey Love, of Hamilton, Judy McDulin, of Hamilton, Tony Ratliff, of Los Angeles, CA, and Carol Leibrock, of Hamilton; seventeen grandchildren, especially, Vivian Holland, for her devoted care of her grandparents; thirty-five great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; a brother, Delbert Yordy.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie; one sister, and six brothers.
