BRANDNER, Marcella M. age 97 of Hamilton died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 20, 1914, the daughter of William and Ella (Delaney) Beckman. On August 22, 1935, in St. Ann Church she married Frank J. Brandner and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1961. Mrs. Brandner was an owner and operator of the Main St. Book and Toy Store, a sales person for Effler Jewelry Store in Mt. Healthy, and retired from Brandner's Meat Market in Hamilton. She was a member of St. Ann Church, the Altar Rosary Society, the Church Choir, the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and was a gift shop volunteer.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Theresa) and Frank (Kathy) Brandner both of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Anne (Barry) Smallwood, Jeff (Krista) Brandner, Matt Brandner, Jamie Brandner, Ryan (Lindsey) and Tonya Brandner; seven great-grandchildren Nichol (Jason) Tyng, Josh, Alex, and Paige Brandner, Megan Smallwood, Anisia and Elijah Brandner; four great-great grandchildren, Halle, Gavin, Peyton, and Sydney Tyng.

Besides her parents and husband, Frank, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Romilda Reinert; two brothers, Bernard and William Beckman; a nephew, Ronald Reinert.

The family wants to express special thanks to the caregivers at Schroder Manor and Hospice of Cincinnati.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday at Schroder Manor Chapel, 1302 Millville Ave. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Tuesday in the Chapel. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Manor Chapel Fund or Hospice of Cincinnati 4310 Cooper Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
