BEER, MARGARET L. (Peggy) age 73 died at her home on March 13, 2015. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 12, 1942, the daughter of George L. "Yatz" and Marie L. (Cash) Beer. Peggy attended St. Peter in Chains School and was a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She attended the University of Dayton for two years and then received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Miami University in 1965. Ms. Beer received her Master Degree in Education from Xavier University in 1975. She taught in the parochial schools for 3 years and the City of Hamilton Schools for 27 years. A life member of the Ohio Education Association, and the National Education Association, she also was a past president of the Hamilton City Teacher Association. Peggy was a devoted teacher that loved to extend her student's learning in her own unique style. She was proud to teach in the authentic manner so "her children" would learn to their fullest extent. Ms. Beer was a lifetime member of St. Peter in Chains Church. Peggy was an active member of the Rosary Altar Society, was a member of the St. Peter Parish Council, and past chairperson of the St. Peter Parish Council. Throughout the years, she was a member of many church committees.
She leaves two sisters, Karen Robinson and Kathy Beer. In addition to her sisters, she is survived by a nephew, Todd (Ruth) Robinson and a niece, Aimee (Edward) McElwee; great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah and Matthew Robinson and Andie and Noble Moore; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Ernie Carpenter, Virginia Nichols and Verna and Glenn Flannery; numerous cousins.
One of her greatest joys of her life was being "The Nanny" for her great-nieces and great-nephews in their early years. No matter what, she was always available at any hour. She cared for them and followed them through all of their life endeavors. She loved her family and her many relatives and friends. She especially loved her cousins and enjoyed being with them at their monthly gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Paula Weisenberger for her outstanding care during her 23 month battle with pancreatic cancer. We would also like to thank her friends and cousins for their prayers and support.
