LUNSFORD, Margaret A. age 86, of Fairfield died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born on December 11, 1921, the daughter of Frederick J. and Margaret A. (Krusyewski) Sauerbeck Jr. . Mrs. Lunsford was a 1944 graduate of Miami University of Oxford earning a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. On August 4, 1943, in Perry, Florida she married Robert H. Lunsford and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2005. She was a teacher at Harrison Elementary School, for 40 years, retiring in 1982. A past member the Fairfield School Board, she also was past president of the Hamilton Teacher's Association. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Eleanor McCollum of Fairfield; two nieces, Barbara (Chad) Hill of Fairfax, Virginia; Greta (David) Smith of Fairfield; four nephews, Joe (Doris) McCollum of Hamilton; Fred (Carol) McCollum of Hamilton; Rick McCollum of Louisville, KY; and John (Lynne) McCollum of Liberty Township, Ohio; twelve great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; other relatives; many friends; and thousands of Elementary students and swimmers.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Montgomery.

Memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday in St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 4601 Fairfield Ave., Fairfield, Ohio 45014. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm-3:30pm Sunday at church.
