MENCHE, Margaret A. age 88 of Hamilton, died Tuesday June 15, 2010 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 28, 1921 the daughter of Martin and Jane (Meyers) Arnold and was a 1939 graduate of Hamilton High School. On July 21, 1943 in St. Peter church, she married Charles E. Menche Sr. Mrs. Menche had worked as a private secretary to the Controller at Fisher Body Hamilton Plant, prior to raising her family. A member of St. Julie Billiart Parish, Margaret was also a past member and President of the Cooperative Services League and the Babies Milk Fund.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; four children, Terri (Gary) Beckett of Boston, Massachusetts, Larry (Kim) Menche, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Charles E. "Chuck" (Debbie) Menche Jr., of Hamilton, and David Menche, of Fairfield; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Dorothy (Maynard) Weisbrodt; a sister-in-law, Ruth Arnold.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Arnold Jr.; a sister, Betty Nemacheck; and a grandson, Andrew Menche.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Friday in St. Julie Billiart Church. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Partners in Prime Transportation or Hospice of Hamilton.
