SCHLABACH, Margaret Ann age 86 of Hamilton went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Wickerd) Dornberger. On February 12, 1955, in St. Joseph's Church in Hamilton, Margaret married Ralph L. Schlabach Jr. and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1999. Together they had three children, Beth Ann Munafo, Kevin and Mark Schlabach. Ralph and Margaret were active and life long members of Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield from its inception. Margaret was faithful in her attendance and participation in her faith. She was an accomplished homemaker. Mrs. Schlabach had a huge heart, the gift of compassion, and enjoyed taking care of those in need. She would please others before herself. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister in law, and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a loyal and faithful friend. Mrs. Schlabach enjoyed taking long walks and working with flowers of all kinds both indoors and out. Her plants were beautiful for she embraced them with T.L.C. Margaret enjoyed breath taking sunrises and sunsets at home. She loved talking to people for she knew no stranger. Mrs. Schlabach resided at Doverwood Village for the past seven years. She spent most of her time in activities. We will deeply miss our mother. Her family would like to extend their heart felt gratitude to Dr. Pawel S., the entire nursing staff of Doverwood, the staff of Mercy Hospital Fairfield, and each nurse aide the ANGEL GIRLS, who kept Miss Margaret smiling with their unconditional love through her long journey.

Prayers will be offered at 10:00am in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:00am Tuesday in the funeral home.
