JONES, Margarette L. age 93 of Fairfield died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Heartland of Kettering, Ohio. She was born in Carthage, Ohio on December 18, 1916, the daughter of Clemath and Dora (Fetter) Songer. On August 18, 1934, in Covington, Kentucky, she married Samuel T. Jones, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1992. Margarette was a member of St. Ann Church, the Altar Rosary Society, and was a lay distributor at church.

Survivors include eight grandchildren, Thomas (Betsy) Jones, Frances L. Jones, Barbara (Tom) Gresham, Teresa (Mike) Milleson, Joan (Joe) Cottrell, Diana (Mark) Mapes, Maribeth Smith, and Michael S. (Anne) Jones; nineteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three sister; two brothers.

Besides her husband, Samuel, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Samuel L. Jones in 1979, and James Jones in 1998.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 am Friday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen J. Mondiek celebrant. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am Friday in the Zettler funeral home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann School Roots and Wings Scholarship fund.
