FINCH, Margery A. age 92 formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, currently residing in Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Jewish Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 13, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Schmucker) Leyrer, and was a 1941 graduate of Hamilton High School. She attended Miami of Oxford. Margery was married to John L. Finch for 37 years, and he preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Finch was an elementary school teacher and counselor for the Michigan Public School system for 23 years. She was a volunteer for the Hamilton County Parks District. Margery had attended Immanuel Lutheran School and later was active in the church's activities and women's guild.

Survivors include two children, Jane A. Gard of Chicago, Illinois, and Marcia (Robert) Kaeser of Montgomery, Ohio; dear friend and companion, Norm Schulte and thirteen nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, John, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Ralph, and Carl Leyrer; and a twin sister, Dorothy Lacker.

Funeral services will be offered at 2:00PM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Kevin Jud officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran, Augsburg Lutheran Church, or Charity of Choice.
