GATTERMEYER, Marian F. age 88 of Fairfield died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 28, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Wilhelmina (Krieger) Glick, and was a 1940 graduate of Hamilton High School and a 1943 graduate of Mercy Nursing School. Mrs. Gattermeyer served in the U.S. Army, during WWII, in the Nurse Corp. On January 12, 1946 in Hamilton she married Robert L. Gattermeyer, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1996. Marian worked as a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics Unit for Mercy Hospital in Hamilton from 1956 until the units closing. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Suedkamp of Cincinnati; two granddaughters, Lori A. Suedkamp of Noblesville, IN and Beth R. (Jay) Black of Rockledge, FL; one great-grandchild, Maxwell Sackenheim.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
