Marie L. Beer's Obituary
BEER, Marie L. (nee Cash) age 93 died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at her home. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 25, 1920, the daughter of Marshall B. and La Verna (Sutter) Cash, and was a 1938 graduate of Hamilton High School. On March 6, 1940, she married George L."Yatz" Beer and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1989. Marie was a homemaker, and also for 16 years assisted in the operation of her husband's grocery store, Beer's Market, until they both retired. She was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, and was active in many areas of the parish. Mrs. Beer was a gentle, kind, and loving woman who always put the needs of her family before her needs. She was always active in participating in her daughters' endeavors, and in later life continued the same with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie was happiest when she was with her family.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her three daughters, Peggy Beer, Karen Robinson, and Kathy Beer. In addition to her daughters, survivors include her two grandchildren, Todd (Ruth) Robinson and Aimee Moore; four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Robinson, Andie and Noble Moore; three sisters, Barbara (Ernie) Carpenter, Virginia Nichols, and Verna (Glenn) Flannery; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her; parents; three brothers, Marshall Cash Jr., Paul Cash Sr., and Charles Cash; a sister, Mary Helen Cash.
Friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30PM Monday in St. Peter in Chains Church, with Fr. Timothy Bunch celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Private family visitation will be in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Memorial donations are suggested in memory of Marie to St. Peter in Chains Church 382 Liberty Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45013, St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter Church, or Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
