EICHHOLD, Marie A. age 90 of Hamilton died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 10, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Julia (Forstmeyer) Suedkamp, and was a 1941 high school graduate of Notre Dame Academy. On January 31, 1948, she married Louis E. "Bud" Eichhold. A devoted wife and mother, she also worked as a teacher's assistant at St. Mary's Montessori during the 1970's. Marie was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Peter in Chains Church and the Notre Dame Tabernacle Society. Mrs. Eichhold spent the last four years of her life at St. Leonard's Assisted Living in Centerville, Ohio.

Survivors include her three daughters, Diane (Terry) Torbeck of Centerville, Ohio, Janet Handahl of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Marilyn (Paul) Knapp of Indianapolis, Indiana nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Duffey of Tucson, Arizona; dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her husband Bud, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Allan Handahl; five brothers, John, Herman, Bernard, Mark, and Dick; three sisters, Henrietta, Ruth, and Rita Suedkamp.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Leonard's for their loving care and also a special thank you to the caregivers at Hospice of Dayton.

Prayers will be offered at 10:00 am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Thursday in St. Peter in Chains Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 am Thursday in the funeral home.
