RUWE, Marilyn Louise age 84 of Fairfield passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 24, 1932, the daughter of Herbert and Catherine (Irwin) Brune. She attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1950, where she was an active cheerleader. Following high school she held office positions at Baldwin-Lima Hamilton and Bendix. After they closed, she was employed by Beckett Paper Co. in their office as a billing administrator for a number of years. On October 28, 1961, she married Thomas Ruwe in St. Mary's Church in Hamilton and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. She had a good personality, was friendly to everyone, enjoyed being with her family, always willing to help someone in need. She loved playing bridge with her friends, reading, gardening, and was an expert sewer. Marilyn was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas; two children, John Ruwe, and Barbara (Bruce) Fangmann; two step-grandchildren, Tina Densford and Sarah Kohlhouse; a step-great-grandson, Eli Densford; two brothers, Herbert (Ruth) Brune of Wilmington, North Carolina and Edward (Jane) Brune of Indianapolis, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jacquelyn (Robert) Baumann.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating, followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00AM Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Badin High School or Sacred Heart Church.
