HEROLD, Martha M. age 98 of Hamilton, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 5, 1909 the daughter of Conrad and Barbara (Bender) Erbeck. On July 7, 1937, in Hamilton, Ohio, she married Robert Herold and he preceded her in death on April 25, 1985. She was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church. She had been deputy auditor for the Butler County Auditors office, working there for thirty years, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Herold enjoyed flower gardening, and was especially proud of her roses.

Survivors include a son, Bob and wife Cindy Herold, of Hamilton; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Herold, of Hamilton; two nephews, Ron (Kay) Erbeck, and Doug (Ruby) Erbeck

Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Francis; brothers, Edwin, Alvin, Robert, and Arthur Erbeck; a brother, Herbert and a sister Dorothy, in infancy.

The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff of Ft. Hamilton Hospital, 5 Main and to Berkeley Square, for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, 212 S. Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11:00am Saturday at church. Memorials are suggested to a charity of donor's choice or Zion Lutheran Church Radio Fund.
