FOWLER, Mary E. age 88 of Fairfield died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at University Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on May 23, 1923, the daughter of Roy and Etta (Murphy) Tipton. On April 10, 1945, she married James M. Fowler and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1994. Mrs. Fowler worked at the Hamilton Foundry for six years then devoted her time to home and family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Smith of Monroe, and Mary Pat (Martin) Cieslak of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Jeff (Susan) Smith, Sara Smith-Fields, Stacy, Stephanie, Abigail, and Dennis Cieslak; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Jackson, and Adams Fields.
Besides her husband James, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Fowler.
Visitation will be from 9-10:00am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave. Prayers will be offered at 10:00am Friday in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Friday in Sacred Heart Church, with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be directed to
