IMFELD, Mary Elizabeth (Betty), age 91 of Hamilton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Olean, New York on March 19, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Marcella (Keenan) Zink. On June 18, 1946, she married Clem F. Imfeld Jr. and moved to Hamilton, where they made their home. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1989. Betty was a member of Queen of Peace Church and the Altar Rosary Society there for over sixty years. She was also a member of the Metropolitan Women's Club, past president of the Butler County Bar Association Auxiliary, past president of the Hamilton Musical Arts Club, member of the Exhausted Roosters, a thirty-year volunteer at Fort Hamilton Hospital, and decades-long member of the Millville Homemakers. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, she was an avid bridge player and an accomplished seamstress. She also loved to travel to visit her far-flung adult children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Zink (Pat, Buffalo, NY) and Bob Zink (Linda, Corning, NY); four sons: Clem F. (Trey) Imfeld III (Barbara Davis) of Eugene, Oregon; Keenan K. Imfeld (Pamela) of Hamilton; Kevin F. Imfeld (Cyndie) of Cincinnati; and Thomas C. Imfeld (Linda) of Hamilton; three daughters: Katherine K. (Kitty) Preston (Daniel) of Williamsburg, VA; Rebecca Imfeld Saylor of Pleasant Hope, MO; and Teresa A. Imfeld of Asheville, NC; twelve grandchildren: Nicholas Imfeld (Charity) of West Chester, PA; Nathan Imfeld (Hilary Hawley) of Milwaukee; Jordan Saylor (Allison) of Ozark, MO; Tracy Osborne (Jim) of Banner, KY; MaryEllen Imfeld of Portland, OR; Rachael Saylor of Nixa, MO; William Preston of Vancouver, BC; Christopher Imfeld (Emily) of Middletown; Stephanie Pollock (Kyle) of Fairfield; Samantha Whitacre (Mike) of Cincinnati; Tyler Imfeld (Tiffany) of Middletown; and Arwen Imfeld of Asheville, NC; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Clem Jr., she was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Marcella, a great-grandson, Finley Grider, and a brother, James Zink.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017, at the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Prayers will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Ave. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery.
