PAPROSKI, Mary Jean (Mainous) of Atlanta, Georgia died January 1, 2008, in the presence of family. Mary Mainous Paproski was born January 25, 1929, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Rena Mae and William Earl Mainous. She attended public grade schools, Hamilton High School, and graduated from Reily Centralized School in
1947.
On July 31, 1948, she was united in marriage with Theodore Francis Paproski. They raised three daughters and three sons. In August of 1966, the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where Mr. Paproski was transferred by Armco Metal Products Division.
Mrs. Paproski worked as a certified nursing home activities director for over thirty years while residing in Atlanta. She was also a member of the Dekalb County D.A.R. One of Mrs. Paproski's major interests was family history. She devoted much of her leisure time to genealogical research, tracing some of the family lines as far back as the 1400's.
Mrs. Paproski is survived in death by her husband, Theodore Paproski; their
children, Karen Paproski Might, Susan Paproski, Teddi Ann Paproski Ashcraft, James
Paproski, Stephen Paproski, and Michael Paproski; grandchildren, Lori Colatosti
Hamilton, Jennifer Colatosti, Brian Paproski, John Colatosti, Robert Paproski, Danielle
Ashcraft Rothert, Matthew Ashcraft, Melissa Paproski, Julie Paproski, Hannah Paproski, and Kevin Paproski; five great-grandchildren, John Tanner Colatosti, Teresa Colatosti,
Jenna Paproski, William Hamilton, and James Alexander Colatosti; brothers, Robert
Mainous, George Mainous, and Jack Mainous; and a sister Linda Mainous Getz.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Ann Church.
