Mary Rose Runtz, age 86, of Fairfield Township, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Birchwood Healthcare Center. She was born in Cincinnati, OH, on February 2, 1940, the daughter of Vito and Chiarina (Dellapalma) Ciuccio. On August 13, 1960, in Cincinnati, OH, she married Richard F. Runtz. Mary was a member of Saint John Neumann Parish.

Mary found joy making lasting memories—camping in the family travel trailer, international trips with her husband, splitting time with grandchildren in Ohio, Florida and Texas. Nothing meant more to her than family, and she treasured every reunion, every gathering, every chance to be surrounded by the people she loved. Her life was marked by warmth, steadiness, and a deep affection for the places and people that felt like home.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; four children, Pamela Ward, Ken (Lisa) Runtz, Michelle (Mike) Lynn, and Allan (Jenny) Runtz; seven grandchildren; Tristen, Graysen, Ryan, Corrine, Eric, Regan, Layne; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Blake.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Ciuccio; a sister, Grace Nusekabel. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am Monday March 16, 2026 in the St. John Neumann church 12191 Mill Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45240, Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
