SHERLOCK, Mary Jane (Janey) formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at the Madison Senior Living in London, Ohio. Janey was born October 8, 1926 to Karl and May (Theobald) Korn. She attended St. Peter's Elementary School and Notre Dame High School where she graduated in 1944. Janey worked at the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company and later at Pease Company in Hamilton. On September 21 st , 1946 in St. Peter's Church, she married Paul E. Sherlock and they were married for 51 years. They had one daughter, Paula. After Paul's death in 1998, Janey volunteered at Mercy Hospital and Schroder Manor. She moved to London, Ohio in 2010 to be near to her daughter Paula, son-in-law Dan, and their family. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hamilton until her move to London, and then became a member of St. Patrick Church.
Janey leaves behind her beloved daughter Paula and son-in-law Dan Hann; three grandchildren, David (Beth) Hann of Beavercreek Ohio, Michael (Nancy) Hann of Grove City Ohio, and Amy Hann-Morrow of London Ohio; six great- grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob and Abigail Hann of Beavercreek, Luke and Lauren Hann of Grove City, and Hannah Morrow of London. Janey also had thirty-two nieces and nephews who were very close to her, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul; two sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Millspaugh and Patricia (Bernard) Mick; a brother, Robert (Mary) Korn; sister- in- law, Eileen (Louis) Ganz; brother-in-law, Richard (Jody) Sherlock.
Prayers will be offered at 10:00am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am Tuesday in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ann Church in Hamilton or St. Patrick Church in London. Online register book is available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
