Obituary

WEAVER, Mary Ann, age 81, of Hamilton, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Berkeley Square. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 16, 1925, the daughter of Robert and Anna M. (Schuh) Downie Sr., and was a 1943 graduate of Notre Dame High School. In 1944, in St. Ann Church, she married Robert G. Weaver and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2000. Mrs. Weaver was retired librarian, working for Champion Paper Co. She was a member of the Champion Go Go Girls, had been a Girl Scout leader, and was involved in children's swim teams at George Washington Swimming Pool. Mary Ann was a golfer and she and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing.

Survivors include five children, Dr. Michael Weaver, of Rhode Island, Alice (James) Jacoby, of Fairfield, Patricia (Paul) Ciccotelli, of Wareham, MA, Rosemary (Charles) Topie, of Union, KY, and Robert (Terri) Weaver Jr., of Wake forest, NC; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert L. Downie Jr and Richard Downie.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sisters Rita Scarce , Agnes Baldwin and brother Karl.

The family deeply appreciates the compassionate care and love the staff at Berkeley Square shared with Mary Ann.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Friday in the Zettler funeral home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Ann Church. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler Co. Memorial Park.
