BLOUNT, Matthew R. age 40, 0f Hamilton, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.   Born in Hamilton, Ohio, on June 19, 1978, son of Steven M. and Karen Brewer Blount, he was a 1996 graduate of Hamilton High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and a three-year member of the varsity golf team.  Matt had many loves, the most important being his family and his church.  His passion, however, was the game of golf. He, along with his mother and a devoted group from Trinity Episcopal Church and surrounding parishes, spent a number of summers working and teaching Bible school on the Navajo Reservation in Oljato, where he will be missed by many friends.  He loved the consumers who made up the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities Workshop where he worked for several years. Caring for others was always his greatest attribute.

He is survived by his daughter Mackenzie Eliana, son Maxwell Richard, father Steven Blount, mother Karen Brewer Blount, brothers Adam and Alex Blount, sister-in-law Stacey Bowling Blount, grandmother Lois Simms, uncles John Simms (Indianapolis) and Tom Simms Hamilton), ten cousins, and so many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Harold Blount, Robert Brewer, and Thomas Simms, and grandmother Marcella Ondrovich Blount.

Funeral service will be at Trinity Episcopal Church, 115 N. 6 ^th St., Hamilton, OH 45011, at 2 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2019.  Interment will be in the Memorial Garden at Trinity, followed by a reception at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Trinity Episcopal Church of Hamilton or a charity of your choice.
