Obituary

SCHUTTE. Michael F. age 60 of Hamilton, Ohio left this earthly life on Sunday, January 5, 2014, to be joined with his Heavenly Father and with those family and friends who have preceded him. Michael was brought into this life on July 3, 1953, by his parents Donald and Marjorie (Wagner) Schutte. Michael attended St. Ann Catholic School, where he was also a long time member of the church, and then attended Badin High School. He graduated in 1975 with a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Gregory Seminary, and then went on to attend Mt. St. Mary's Theological Seminary before leaving in 1978. On May 21, 1983, Michael married Nancy Nartker, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kelly Campbell and Amy Schutte; his father, Donald; sister, Gail (Michael) Irvine; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Schutte; brother, Dr. Douglas Schutte; grandparents; father and mother-in-law; sister-in-law, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Michael worked as a cook for 19 years at the Chili Co. Restaurant in Fairfield until it closed in 1999. Later he worked at Pearl's Diner in Fairfield. His most recent employment was with the Senior Citizens Inc. in Hamilton. Michael loved this job because he was helping the elderly in many ways, mainly as a driver in their transportation department. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and going bowling. He was a bowler in the St. Ann's P.A.C. league.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Peter in Chains Church. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8:30-9:30am Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donation may be made to Hospice of Hamilton 1010 Eaton Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
