STUMPF, Mildred L. R., age 96 of Hamilton, died Wednesday, July 5, 2007, at Vitas Hospice in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 8, 1911, the daughter of Conrad and Rosina (Reas) Stumpf and was a 1931 graduate of Miami University, earning a degree in Elementary education. An elementary school teacher for the Hamilton City Schools, she taught over forty years, retiring on July 1, 1973. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two nephews, William and Robert Stumpf, of Hamilton; four nieces, Mary Louise Stumpf, of Hamilton, Mary Rose Browning, of London, KY, Edwina Muskopf, of Fairfield, and Darlene Stumpf, of Hamilton; ten great nieces and nephews; many great great, and great great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alma E. Stumpf; three brothers, William and Edward Stumpf and Clifford Stumpf in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday in the Proeschel-Crawford-Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main St., with Pastor Timothy Landers officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or Vitas Hospice in Ft. Hamilton Hospital.
