HEIS, Nancy J. age 69 of Fairfield, died Saturday evening, December 26, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 28, 1940 the daughter of Robert and Marian (Insprucker) Wallace and was a 1958 graduate of Hamilton High School. On August 23, 1958 in Hamilton, Ohio she married Donald E. Heis. Mrs. Heis had been owner and operator of the Springdale Road IGA, along with her husband Donald, from 1969-1996. She was a charter member of the Fairfield Eagles # 3680 and had worked as a bar maid there for several years. Nancy was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

Survivors include her husband, Don; four children, Susan Picard (Dennis Boehm), of Deer Park, OH, Donna (Robert) Daugherty, of Fairfield, Sherri (Steve) Kaiser, of Hamilton, and Bobbi-Jo Eckstein (Greg Landrum), of Deer Park, OH; nine grandchildren, Donnie and Mark Picard, Chuck Heis, Nancy, Pete, Jamie, Phillip, and Brandon Daugherty, and Steve Kaiser; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Kyle, of Florida; two brothers, Robert Wallace, of Indiana, and Mark Wallace, of Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati. Online register book available at zettlerfuneralhome.com
