PURDY (Nuxhall), Naomi M., age 98 of Hamilton, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 31, 1908, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Sinner) Gailey and was a 1926 graduate of Hamilton High School. Husbands Orville L. Nuxhall, Herman Meder, and Eldon L. Purdy preceded her in death. A life long member of Zion Lutheran Church, she also was a member of the Ladies of Zion.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph (Donzetta) Nuxhall, of Fairfield, Gene Nuxhall, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Robert (Pat) Nuxhall, and Donald (Myra) Nuxhall, all of Hamilton; Fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Kurtz; a niece, Dorothy Slade.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Nuxhall; two sisters, Evelyn Bising, and Helen Kendall; a brother, Robert Gailey; a daughter-in-law, Juanita Nuxhall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Daniel Snider officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am Saturday in the funeral home.
