YORDY, Neva Lee age 90 of Hamilton died Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Huntington Court. She was born in Offet, Kentucky on December 25, 1920, the daughter of Roe and Gertrude (Blevins) Webb. Neva worked at Mercy Hospital as a nurse's aid for over twenty years. She loved her flowers, home, children and grandchildren...and believed that there was more to being a mother than just bearing them. For several years she and Mr. Yordy had a receiving home for neglected and troubled adolescents. Over time they temporarily took in over eighty children and kept them until a suitable home could be found. Many of these children kept coming back over time to see "Mom" and "Pop".
Survivors include three children, Judy McDulin, Tony Ratliff, and Carol Leibrock; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon C. Ratliff and Louis Yordy; a son, Othow Chuck Ratliff; a daughter, Pansey Love; a grandson, Steven Love.
She will be missed by anyone who ever knew her or ever saw her wonderful smile.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Huntington Court for their excellent care for many years.
