Obituary

MacDiarmid, Norman (Mac) Age 73 a resident of Hamilton for the past 45 years, died Thursday June 12, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born January 5, 1935 in East Aurora NY. Mr. MacDiarmid served nine years in the Army as a Sergeant during the Korean conflict. He loved all sports and even played in minor league NY Yankees, back in 1953. He was employed by the Elks Golf Course up until his passing. Mac loved his job and taking care of the Country Club's cat "Elkie." He enjoyed spending time with friends, hanging out at Dry Dock Lounge, and Riley's Pizza in Oxford.


Survivors include two daughters, Patti (Fabrizio) Gallo of Hamilton, Linda (Jeff) Harper of West Chester; three grandsons, David MacDiarmid (23) , Tomasso Gallo (6) of Hamilton, and Jeffery (Lauren) Harper (25) of West Chester.

The Family would like to thank everyone from Dry Dock and Riley's for their calls and prayers. Special thanks to Brian and all Mac's friends at the Elks Country Club.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00pm in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Fr. Timothy Bunch officiating followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com.
