Patricia Ann Bowers (Cearley), age 80 a prominent business woman from Piqua Ohio passed away May 8, 2011 from a long respiratory illness. At one time she and her former husband owned three beauty shops in the Piqua area, the Fantasy, Peacock and Debonair. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 28, 1930 and was the daughter of Cecil S. Bowers and Anna M. Amiot.
After a long career of being a beautician she retired and enjoyed working in her flower garden and being with her cats. She also enjoyed flying with her family and working with them at the Piqua airport. She was a life member of The Commemorative Air Force of Texas.
She leaves five children, Raymond (Chuck) Cearley of Piqua, Stewart Cearley of Maryland, Edward (Linda) Cearley of Powell, Ohio, and Terry (Brenda) Cearley of New Carlisle, Ohio, Anna Wright of Clearwater, Florida. 8 grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, and many friends, relatives and a good friend William (Bill) Cearley.
The family also wishes to express our thanks to Heartland of Piqua, Upper Valley Medical, her Doctors and Nurses for the loving and compassionate care they provided through our mother's extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday in the Zettler funeral home at 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating followed by interment at St Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. In memory of her love for cats, we ask you donate to your local Humane Society instead of sending flowers.
