DOUGHERTY, Patrick Edward Nicholas age 90 of Fairfield passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Ashton, Iowa on October 16, 1927, the son of Charles and Victoria (Bloes) Dougherty, the sixth of seven children. Mr. Dougherty served in the United States Navy during WWII. Pat married Charlotte Phipps in June of 1978, and they shared 40 years together. Their daughter, Katie was the joy in her father's life.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; a daughter, Katie (Justin) Sexton; grandchildren, Bradey and Makenzie Sexton. He will be remembered by his extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Liam Robert Sexton.

A Memorial Services will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
