Obituary

SCHULER, Paul F., age 83 of Hamilton, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 in Vitas Hospice in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 2, 1924 the son of Paul A. and Catherine (Meder) Schuler. On January 19, 1946 in Hamilton he married Betty J. Wittekind and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2005. Mr. Schuler served in the US Army Air corps during WWII. He had worked as a union bricklayer out of local # 18, where he had been a member for more than fifty years. A member of St. Ann Church, he also was a member of the College Hill- Harry S. Johnson Masonic Lodge # 641.

Survivors include four children, Linda L. Schuler, Paul E. Schuler, Douglas W. Schuler, and Mark D. Schuler, all of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, Angela Vierling, Christina, Sandra, Robert, Ashley, Amanda, Brittany, and Matthew Schuler; twelve great grandchildren, Dakota, Tyler, and Morgan Retherford, Haily, Destiny, and Richard Vierling Jr., Layla, Johnathan and Elizabeth Schuler, Sierra and Jeffrey Tuccie, and Lacie Francisco; a step granddaughter, Sierra Thomas.

Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jayden Mills Caldwell.

Prayers will be offered at 11:00am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am Thursday in St. Ann Church, with Fr. Stephen Mondiek officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Garden. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am Thursday in the funeral home. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
