HOWARD, Phillip A. age 74 of Hamilton died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 14, 1936, the son of Berlin E. and Isabel (Vessely) Howard, and was a 1954 graduate of Hamilton High School. On June 30, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio he married Arlene S. Klenk. Mr. Howard worked as a meat cutter at Howard's Market, Kroger for twenty five years and currently at Jungle Jim's Market. He had been a leader in the Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene "Sandy" Howard; four children, Charles Allan (Deborah) Howard of Hamilton, Elizabeth Anne Knapp of Hamilton, Marie Aileen (Byron) Morris of Fairfield, and Kim Arlene (Bert) Sauer; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Balthaser of California; a sister-in-law, MaryAnn Howard of Middletown.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Curtis Howard; a brother, Edward; a nephew, Thomas Howard.
