Campbell, Ralph Russell, age 86, of Hamilton, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Vitas Hospice in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born on February 1, 1920, in Raceland, KY, the son of Robert and Dora (Belford) Campbell. He served in the US Army during WWII and after the war until 1952. On August 30, 1964, in Indiana, he married Freda Winn. Mr. Campbell had worked as a machinist at Panda Industries, for over twenty years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed wood working, rug making and keeping his mind active, working complex crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his wife, Freda; two children, Robert (Libby) Campbell, of Forest, VA, and Linda (Roger) West, of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Cindy Childress, Stacy Thompson, and Jordan West; three great grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Loretta) Campbell, of Raceland, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Ron Stewart officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood cemetery.
