Obituary

HALL, Ralph, age 82, of Fairfield, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Tri-county Extended Care Center. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 23, 1923, the son of Ray and Ruth (Dumas) Hall. Mr. Hall served in the US Navy, during WWII, serving in the Asiatic Campaign, and the American Campaign. During his service, he earned the Silver Star Medal, four battle stars in the Asiatic Campaign, and the WWII Victory Medal. On March 24, 1956 in Liberty Indiana, he married Helen Lively. He had been a policeman in Phoenix, Arizona, prior to relocation to Hamilton. A welder, he worked at Hamilton welding, and Wulftang Iron Works, and later was plant manager at Southern Ohio Fabrication, retiring in 1990. After retirement, he had worked as a security officer for Allied and Merchants Security. He had been a deacon at the North 7th Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Helen; two children, Ellen Jean (Sam) Sippel, of Fairfield, and Ralph E. (Patricia) Hall, of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Joseph, and Christen Hall; three great grandchildren, Makayla, Parker, and Bradley Hall; a favorite nephew, Joe Krause; sister-in-law, Rosie Lively; two brothers-in-law, Eugene and David Lively .

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Ray Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Dr. Allen Minor officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood cemetery.
