HESSLER, Ralph F., age 87 of Fairfield, died Sunday May 29, 2011 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 12, 1923 the son of Frank J. and Clara Ann (Dornberger) Hessler and was a 1941 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. Mr. Hessler served in the US Army during WWII. On November 22, 1956 in St. Joseph Church he married Hildegarde "Hilda" C. Diewald. He had been owner operator of Hessler's Mens Shop, worked as a sales Representative for Heublein Liquors and was owner operator of Hessy's Tap Room. A member of St. John Neumann Church he also was a member of the K of C Father Butler Council, B.P.O.E # 93, and the American Legion Post # 138 .
Survivors include his wife, Hilda; a brother, Frank (Shirley) Hessler; three sisters, Dolores Motzer, Ruth Ann Beckman, and Mary Lou Cox; three brothers-in-law. Ted "Kathy", and Walter "Catherine" Diewald and Ed Nardini.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Lawrence and Robert "Sug" Hessler; a sister –in-law, Ann Louise Nardini.
Prayers will be offered at 9:15am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Wednesday in St. John Neumann Church. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Badin High School or a charity of donor's choice.
