Hetterich, Ralph "Howard" Age 88 passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. Born December 8, 1928 in Hamilton, Ohio to Ralph and Bertha (Schatt) Hetterich. Graduate of the Hamilton Catholic High School Class of 1946 where he was a member of the school's only undefeated basketball team. Howard earned a B.S. in Accounting from Xavier University in 1952. On Thanksgiving Day 1953 in St. Stephen's Church, he married Peggy Pfirrman, and they spent 63 years together. Howard is survived by his wife Peggy and his 5 children: Karen (Todd) Weber, Kathy (Tom) Tracy, Ralph (Judy) Hetterich, Jamie (Michelle) Hetterich, Lori (Todd Bergmayr) Hetterich. 9 grand children: Julia (Josh) Dolezal, JP (Ashley) Hetterich, Stephanie (John) Elliott, Kelly (Kris) Knox, Jessica Hetterich, Ashley (Phillip Thayer) Hetterich, Stacie Weber, Alexandria Hetterich, and R. Andrew Hetterich. 5 great grandchildren Elise & Stella Dolezal, Camden & Cara Hetterich, and Xavier Knox. He is also survived by his sister Bertha Ann (John) Vilkoski, his sister in law Florence Hetterich and many nieces and nephews. Howard's life was devoted to the service of others through Junior Achievement, St. Peter in Chains Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society, where he served as President of the Hamilton Council for 22 years. An avid sports fan, he was inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame in 1987. He didn't have a favorite team rather just love of the game. He was also a gentle man of integrity and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Mary Hetterich, Martha Flatt, Ruth Arnold, and Marian Cisle and his brothers Roy and Marc Hetterich. Prayers will be offered at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 14th at Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave Hamilton followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am Saturday at St. Peter in Chains Church, Hamilton. Burial at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the funeral home.
