OSUNA, J. Ralph age 83 of Fairfield Township passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born in Cartagena, Columbia on March 29, 1935, the son of Jose and Helen (Spiller) Osuna. On September 15, 1956, in St. Stephen Church in Hamilton he married Connie J. Zettler. Ralph was an engineer by trade, but also a politician.  He was instrumental in the development of the infrastructure in Fairfield Township, serving as a Trustee for 24 years. He advocated for full-time police, fire, and emergency medical services.  He also supported the purchase of land for the Millikin Road Park and township administration building.  Although born in Columbia, Ralph made Fairfield Township his home for almost 60 years. He was a local businessman being the owner of P. Dubbs Café and the Good and Fresh Sandwich Company.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; four children, Rick, Diana, Steve, and Kevin Osuna; ten grandchildren, Amberly, Brandon, Jamie, Jodi, Brandon Turner, Matt, David, Sarah, Bradley, Rachel; seven great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hunter, Ethan, Clayton, Jackson, Austin, Coulton; a brother, Alfred Osuna; daughters-in-law; Jackie, Ann, Jenny; many beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Melinda Dailey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-9:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Hospice or Animal Friends Humane Society.
