BESS, Richard W., age 60. of Fairfield, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at Hospice of Hamilton/Sunrise assisted living center. He was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the son of Willard and Rose (Walker) Bess. On February 3, 1968, in Madison, Wisconsin, he married Barbara Southworth.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons; Kevin (Renee) Bess, of Chicago, IL, and Brendan (Brooke) Bess, of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren; a brother, Bill Bess; and a sister, Pat Albers, both of Orlando, FL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM Friday in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield. Burial will be in Orlando, FL. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to a charity of donor's choice.
