JONES, Richard R. age 63 formerly of the Hamilton/ Butler County area, died Friday April 8, 2011 in Danville, Kentucky. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 8, 1947 the son of Lowell and Betty (Eckstein) Jones. A 1965 graduate of Lakota High School, Richard also graduated from the Hobart Welding School. He had worked on the family sod farm from 1967-1985 and later worked at the Glenview Golf Course.

Survivors include his brother, Jerry (Liz) Jones, of Jamestown, Kentucky; two nieces, Jennifer Jones, of Fairfield, and Wanda (Carl) Moore, of Seven Mile; a nephew, David (Tina) Jones, of Sunman, Indiana; a great nephew, Eric Jones; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Betty Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday in the Zettler funeral home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
