ROESCH, Richard C. Age 83 of Hamilton, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 10, 1925 the son of Harold and Rozalind (Manifold) Roesch and was a 1943 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On September 4, 1948 in Hamilton, he married Roberta Jackman. Mr. Roesch served in the US Army during WWII. He was owner and operator of Richard C. Roesch Antique Refinishing, for thirty-five years, retiring in 1994. A member of St. Ann Church, he also had been active as the organizer of the St. Ann Church Bingo, for fifteen years. Prior to health issues, he had enjoyed bowling and fishing and throughout his life he cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta; seven children, Robin Wroot, Richard (Betty) Roesch, James (Trish) Roesch, Barb (Jim) Williams, Debbie Roesch, Nancy (Mark) Rolfes, and Vickie Roesch; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Newman; and his beloved dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Paul, and Charles Roesch; sisters, Emily DeFarges, Edith Kaufman, and Thelma Bauer; son-in-law, George Wroot; Mother-in-law, Georgeanna Sprandel.
The family expresses special thanks to Richards daughter-in-law, Trish Roesch for providing continuous loving care during his illness, and to Dr. Geeta Nath and the VA Hospital of Cincinnati staff as well as the Hospice of Cincinnati Nurses and Aides.
Prayers will be offered at 9:00am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am Wednesday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
