WILLIAMS, Richard A. age 93 formerly a longtime resident of Hamilton, Ohio, currently residing in Sadorus, Illinois, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home. He was born in Newport, Kentucky on June 8, 1922, the son of Charles and Mary (Davies) Williams and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII. On September 12, 1947, in Bellevue, Kentucky, he married Betty Jean Blair and she preceded him in death on June 22, 1992. Mr. Williams was a machinist for Vulcan Manufacturing Company for 31 years retiring in 1983. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and was a published author. Richard was a past member of the Franklin Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Richard (Victoria) Williams of Hamilton, Karen Isaacs of Portland, Oregon, and Laura (James) Wood of Sadorus, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brandi, Christopher, Stephanie, Matthew, and Jacklyn; fifteen great-grandchildren;
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating followed by entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
