PAXTON, Rita M., age 84 of Hamilton, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 10, 1922, the daughter of John and Esther (Shock) Harrington and was raised by her beloved grandparents John and Magdalena Shock. Rita was 1941 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She married the love of her life, a marriage of fifty-two years, George Paxton and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1997. She was member of St. Julie Billiart Parish. Rita's life was devoted to her family. She was the kind of person everyone enjoyed being around, always happy and fun. Her sense of humor and positive attitude was a source of inspiration to everyone who came in touch with her. She and her beloved husband George will be together now for eternity and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.

She leaves behind five children, Mike and Sue (Wiggins) Paxton and their two children, Shelley (Candan Altinay) Paxton, Christy Humphrey (Derek); Kathy and Husband Craig Hamilton and their two children, Steve (Jenny) and Drew (Jill) Hamilton; Terry and Sharon (Thieman) Paxton and their two children, Scott (Sheila) Paxton, Nicole (Kevin) Fromm,; Doug Paxton and his four children, Angie (Chris) Allison, Brian (Danyelle) Paxton, Doug (Sadie) Paxton, and Danny (Jackie) Castator; Dave and Susan (Apgar) Paxton and their two children, Kelly and Chris (Julie) Paxton; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; close friend, Marge Willer.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dick Harrington; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Eileen Paxton; Sister-in-law, Marjorie Scheib; daughter-n-law, Linda Paxton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Deacon William Renneker officiating, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11:00am Saturday at the funeral home. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
