Obituary

KRAMER, Robert T., Age 85 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Westover Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on September 22, 1922, the son of Phillip and Margaret (Getz) Kramer and was a 1940 graduated of Hamilton Catholic High School. On November 28, 1942, in St. Mary Cathedral, Covington, Kentucky, he married Marian F. Trauthwein and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1994. Mr. Kramer served in the US Army during WWII. He had worked as a press operator at the Fisher Body Hamilton Plant, for thirty-three years, retiring in 1978. A member of Sacred Heart Church, he also was a life member of the VFW # 1069, where he was a past post commander and member of the Military Order of the Cooties, and the Monkey Mutual Aid Society.

Survivors include four children, Karen (Richard) Wissman of Fairfield, Michael (Rhonda) Kramer of Hamilton; Greg (Ruth) Kramer of Fairfield; Monica (Gregg) Johnson of Fairfield; Nine Grandchildren; Seventeen Great-Grandchildren; A Brother-in-law Harry Thomas Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son Robert J. Kramer in 1993; and a granddaughter, Angela Kramer in 1985.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to all the Dr.'s and health care professionals who cared for their father during his illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating, followed by entombment in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9:30- 10:30 am Saturday in Sacred Heart Church. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
