LUNSFORD, Robert H. age 82 of Fairfield, died Thursday, October 6, 2005, in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Franklin Co., Indiana on July 21, 1923, the son of Frank and Callie (Hall) Lunsford and served in the US Army Aircorp, during WWII. On August 4, 1943, in Perry, Florida, he married Margaret Ann Sauerbeck. Mr. Lunsford taught science and physical education at Ross High School, Walnut Hills High School and later was Athletic Director for Cincinnati City Schools, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a brother, Henry Lunsford, of Shipshewana, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Eleanor McCollum, of Fairfield; a brother-in-law, William Montgomery, of Fairfield; six nieces and nephews, Larry J. McCollum, of Fairfield, Barbara Hill, of Fairfax, VA, Fred McCollum, of Hamilton, Rick McCollum, of Louisville, KY, Greta Smith, of Cincinnati, and John McCollum, of Liberty TWP, OH.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday in St. Mark's United Methodist Church, at the corner of Symmes Rd and Fairfield Ave., with Pastor C. David Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00PM Sunday, at the church. Memorials are suggested to the St. Mark's Church Memorial Fund. Zettler Funeral Home, serving the family.
