MARTIN, Robert C. age 88 of Fairfield died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Heartland of Woodridge. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 24, 1923, the son of Charles and Alvina (Bonhaus) Martin, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Aircorp having served during WWII. On June 25, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio he married Cecilia L. Chirco. Mr. Martin worked as a driver and salesman for Cedar Hill, Royal Crest, Wilson, Meyer, and Coors dairies retiring in 1996.

Survivors include his wife Cecilia; a son, Jeffrey (Sarah) Martin of Fairfield; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert Martin.

Prayers will be offered at 10:00 am Tuesday in the in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association, or Sacred Heart Church.
