MESSAL, Robert H. age 98 of Hamilton passed away Monday February 19, 2018 in the Tri-County Extended Care Center. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 10, 1920 the son of Henry and Bertha Messal. On September 20, 1947 he married Helen Faye Simmons and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2011. Mr. Messal served in the US Army Aircorp during WWII. He was an employee of Mosler Safe Company for thirty-seven years retiring in 1982. Robert was an avid Reds Baseball fan.

Survivors include two children, Dan (Dianne) Messal of Fairfield and Brenda Sexton of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Kevin Messal, Jennifer Mathews and Melissa Martin; five great grandchildren, Makenna, Wil, Aidan, Annie and Olivia; a brother-in-law, Don (Lenore) Simmons.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
