NUXHALL, Robert C. age 76 of Hamilton, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008. He was born on September 29, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Orville and Naomi (Gailey) Nuxhall. He was a 1949 graduate of Hamilton High School where he participated in baseball, basketball, boxing and football. He also attended Cedarville College, playing basketball and football. On April 7, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Van De Griff in Zion Lutheran Church. After serving in the Navy for two years, he played professional baseball, for five years, in the Cincinnati Red's minor league organization. He was inducted into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame in 2006

Survivors include his wife, Pat; four daughters, Debbie (Brian) Nagel, Shauna Nuxhall, Lori (Mike) Cox, and Erin (Ron) Robinson; six grandchildren, Ben and Andy Nagel, Christopher and Rachel Cox, Loren Robinson, and Tiffany (Ben) Zellner; three great grandchildren, Brian Conner and Gina Nagel, Aidan Radar- Nagel; two brothers, Gene and Don (Myra) Nuxhall; his sister-in-law, Donzetta Nuxhall; a very special aunt, Dorothy Kurtz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Evelyn Nuxhall; his brother, Joe Nuxhall; his sister-in-law, Juanita Nuxhall.

Private family funeral services will be held at Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Daniel Snider officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
