ROSE, Robert, age 70 of Fairfield, died Friday, September 30, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on December 17, 1934, the son of Kelly and Bell (Larison) Rose, and served in the US Army, in Germany, from 1956-1958. On May 7, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio, he married Angela Jacobs. Mr. Rose had been owner and operator of BP service stations in the greater Cincinnati area for 41 years, retiring in 2000. Recently he had worked part time as a maintenance worker at Elder Beerman . An avid golfer, he enjoyed watching all sports, especially when his children and grandchildren were participating.

Survivors include his wife Angela; three children, Bradley Keith (Monica) Rose, of Fairfield, OH, Brian Kelly(Rebecca) Rose, of Loveland, OH, and Susan Ann (Michael) Mense, of West Chester, OH; four grandchildren, Hailee, Jordan, Sydney, and Jillian Rose; three brothers, Don (Shirley) Rose, of Michigan, Wayne (Wanda) Rose and Dan (Carol) Rose, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Marie Walters, of Lexington, KY, and Lula (Wayne) Willis, of Hamilton.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, J. C. Rose, and Marion Rose; a sister, Ruth Crowe.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Johnny Wade Sloan officiating, followed by burial in Rosehill Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
