STIER, Robert W. Jr. age 52 of Fairfield, Ohio died Monday April 7, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hudson, New York on August 29, 1961, the son of Robert W. and Ellen (Vosburgh) Stier. On July 27, 2002 in Elizaville, New York he married the former Mary A. Davis. Robert is a graduate of Germantown Central School, received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego, and continued his education at The Owen Graduate School of Business at Vanderbilt University where he earned his MBA. Robert worked as an information technologist for the Union Tribune in San Diego, CA and continued his career at the Fairfield Community Center, in Fairfield, OH. Bob enjoyed being a dad first and foremost, playing rock and roll guitar, sailing, and spending time with his family and friends. His character and personality traits were loved by many; always optimistic, gentle, loving, amusing, and inspiring.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Stier in 2011.

Survivors include his wife Mary; two children Mollie and Annie Stier; his father, Robert W. Stier; two brothers, Mark (Hope) Stier, and Chris (Leah) Stier; three uncles, Arnold and Marc Vosburgh, and Carl Stier; an aunt, Gretchen Brodish; loving in-laws, Matthew (Marcy) Davis, Timothy (Barbara) Davis, Stephanie (Mike) Weber, Nancy (David) Wallace, Beth (Steve) Weber, Melissa Huber, and Mollie (Pat) Marot ; and thirty nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am Thursday in Sacred Heart Church 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, Ohio, with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Memorials are suggested to the Robert W. Stier Jr. Memorial Fund, for his children's education, at any 5 ^th /3 ^rd Bank Location.
