HAMEL Jr. Roger R. "Butch" age 57 of Fairfield died Tuesday, November 2, 2010. He was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts on September 13, 1953, the son of Roger R. and Virginia E. (Dunchus) Hamel. Butch served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine; a son, Jordan Hamel; three step-children, Celeste (Fred) Troxell, Dustin Place, and Lacey Hamel; eight grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Hamel; a sister, Rhonda (Don) Sidlauskas; a brother, Alan (Debi) Hamel; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, David.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00 pm Friday in the funeral home. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com.
